Today we will make Mexican style rice pudding with you. This dessert, known as Arroz con leche, is quite different from our rice pudding recipes. It has a rich taste with creamy, orange and cinnamon aromas. It is served decorated with chocolate and cinnamon. Arroz con leche can be made in different ways in different countries. Similarly, you may come across this recipe in Spain.

- 1 tea glass of rice
- 2.5 glasses of water
- 1 stick of cinnamon
- 2 slices orange peel
- 2.5 cups of milk
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup of cream
For Service:
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 piece grated chocolate
How to Make Arroz Con Leche Recipe?
- Place the rice, water, cinnamon sticks and orange peel in a medium-sized pot and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the rice softens and absorbs the water.
- When the rice absorbs the water, remove the orange peels, add milk and sugar to the pot, stir and continue cooking.
- When your dessert reaches a thick consistency, add the cream and after it boils for a while, remove it from the stove.
- Divide the desserts into bowls. After they come to room temperature, you can serve them warm or cool them a little in the refrigerator, add cinnamon and grated chocolate on top.
