How to Make Chocolate Mousse Recipe?
- Before starting the chocolate mousse recipe, make sure that your eggs are very fresh and at room temperature.
- Separate the egg yolks and whites into two separate bowls.
- Foam the egg whites with a mixer and after they start to turn white, add half of the sugar, whisking until it hardens.
- Add the remaining sugar and a little salt to the bowl with the egg yolks and beat with a whisk until the sugar dissolves.
- Chop the dark chocolate into very small pieces and melt it in the microwave or in a double boiler.
- Add the melted chocolate to the egg yolk mixture and mix. At this stage the mixture may harden a little. Take one-third of the egg white mixture and quickly fold it into the chocolate mixture with a whisk.
- At the last stage, remove the whisk and gently fold the remaining egg white into the chocolate mixture in two stages with a spatula, without deflating it.
- Divide the chocolate mousse mixture you prepared into small bowls, grate chocolate to cover them and finally add a piece of dried orange slice and serve by keeping it in the refrigerator for at least 4 and at most 12 hours. Enjoy your meal.
