Ingredients for Focaccia Bread Recipe

For Fermentation:

  • 1.5 teaspoons of yeast
  • 1 tea glass of warm water
  • 1 tea glass of flour

For Foccacia:

  • 2 cups of warm water
  • 1/2 tea glass of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons rosemary
  • 5 cups flour

For the above:

  • 10 cherry tomatoes
  • 10 olives _
  • 3-4 teaspoons of fresh rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons rock salt

How to Make Focaccia Bread Recipe?

  • For pre-fermentation, mix active yeast and warm water in a deep bowl.
  • Add 1 tea glass of sifted flour and mix well.
  • Cover it and let it sit for 20 minutes.
  • Mix warm water and olive oil in another bowl.
  • Add warm water and olive oil mixture to the yeast mixture you have kept waiting and mix.
  • Sift the flour over the mixture.
  • Add salt and rosemary and mix with a spatula or spoon.
  • Gather the dough by folding it from bottom to top with your hand.
  • Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a separate deep bowl. Put the soft dough you prepared into this bowl, cover it and let it sit for 40 minutes.
  • Pour half a tea glass of olive oil into the cooking pot. Lift the dough into the air by holding it with both hands in the mold, so that the dough doubles in the air and the two opposite ends meet, and leave it in the mold in its folded state. Holding the opposite edges, fold it once again in the same way and place it in the middle of the baking mold. Cover it and let it sit for 15 minutes. Spread the dough in the mold completely onto the bottom of the mold by pressing it lightly with your fingers. Pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil over it. Cover it and let it sit for 15 minutes.
  • Place olives, tomatoes and rosemary into the dough. Sprinkle the salt too. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven.
