Good news for olive lovers! This time we will have our fill of olives. Here is snejanka, a delicious appetizer recipe that comes from Bulgaria and is always on the invitation tables.

 
Ingredients for Snejanka Recipe
  • 5 tablespoons of strained yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon (wiping) yoghurt
  • 3 large size pickled cucumbers
  • 20 small black olives
  • 1 handful of dill
  • 5 walnuts _
  • 3 cloves of garlic

To decorate:

  • 2 olives _
  • 1-2 sprigs of dill
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

How to Make Snejanka Recipe?

  • First of all, we remove the seeds and chop the olives finely. Then, we cut our pickled cucumbers into thin cubes.
  • In a separate bowl, we mix our strained yoghurt and regular yoghurt until we get a homogeneous consistency. (The reason we use regular yoghurt is to thicken the strained yoghurt a little)
  • Then, we add the crushed garlic, finely chopped dill, coarsely chopped walnuts, chopped olives and pickles and mix them all until they are combined.
  • We add a little dill, two olives and extra virgin olive oil, decorate it and make it ready to serve.
