  • 3 pieces of dough
  • 1 teacup of oil
  • 500 grams of pumpkin
  • 1 tea glass of sugar
  • 1.5 cups of walnuts (finely ground)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar (for topping)

How to Make Tikvenik Recipe?

  • For the tikvenik, grate the pumpkin with the fine part of the grater and pass the walnuts through the knife. Mix with sugar and cinnamon.
  • Cut the dough in half. Oil the inside of each phyllo dough with a brush, sprinkle it with the mixture so as not to cover the edges, cover it with snow and wrap it like a roll.
  • Wrap the first roll inward and place it in the middle of a round baking tray, the base and sides of which have been greased beforehand. After rolling the remaining dough, place it in the tray by wrapping it.
